George D. Wells, 74, of Bowling Green, passed away on March 2, 2026 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Morgantown native is the son of the late Bonnie Eardine Wells and Thurman Wells, Jr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Wells and Kenneth Wells; a sister, Patty Hulman; and a daughter-in-law, Catrina Wells.

He is survived by his wife, Shirlene W. Wells; three sons, Joey Wells, James Wells, and Tracy Wells; two daughters, Bonnie Wells and Stacy Luckett; a sister, Dorothy Basham; seven grandchildren, Nathan Wells, Ashley Wells, Miranda Wells, Joey Wells, Jr., JJ Wells, Johnathan Wells, and Marcus Wells; and nine great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time. Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
