Gary W. Jackson, 70, of Smiths Grove, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

The Smiths Grove native was a son of the late Herbert and Pauline Grimes Jackson and was preceded in death by his two brothers, William Ray Davis and Philip Harvey Davis.

Gary was a graduate of Warren East High School and retired from Nasco having worked in the shipping and receiving department. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Franklin, he was a member of the Hays Masonic Lodge F & AM and was a Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Hodges Jackson; three daughters, Jennifer Jackson, Mandy Rachelle Jackson and Sadie Garrett; three sons, Jason Dewayne Jackson, Chris Marlin (Carissa) and Kevin Marlin; one sister, Angela Booth; eleven grandchildren, Deanna Southern, Kitana Tucker, Thomas Izaiah Burns, Lily Jackson, Deven Jackson, Jalyn Garrett, Brayden Garrett, Kloey Garrett, Keeton Marlin, Kaylee Marlin and Elijah Marlin; one nephew, Brad Vincent; two favorite dogs, Muddy and Zozo.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 pm, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 2, and again from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
