Evelyn (Beard) McDonald, 99, of Bowling Green passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Colonial Center. The Olympia, WA native was the daughter to the late Hazel Levick Gerrish and Henry T. Gerrish. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles McDonald and her son, Jimmy "James" Riley Beard.

She was a bookkeeper for the State of Kentucky and a member of Bowling Green Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons, John W. Smith (Bonnie) and Steve Beard (Donna); a daughter, Wendy Harkins; eight grandchildren, Melissa Rudloff (Dan), Emily Brown (Troy), Richard Hunter (Ceville), Jeremy Beard (Sherri), Dustin Beard (Chenoa), Benjamin Harkins, Bryan Harkins (Loren), and Chelsea Harkins (Dakota); twelve great-grandchildren, Noah Rudloff, Halle Rudloff, Sam Brown, Grace Brown, Sean Brown, Avery Beard, Keelan Beard, Lillie Beard, Savannah Beard, Trevor Beard, Isabella Hunter, and Sawyer Hunter.

Funeral services will be on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
