Emerson Dickerson, 83, of Woodburn, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Hopkins Center in Woodburn. The Barren County native was the son of the late Lois Profitt Dickerson and Carson Dickerson.

Mr. Dickerson was a lifelong farmer and faithful member of Woodburn Church of Christ, where he served as an elder, deacon, and treasurer.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Downey Dickerson; daughter, Michelle Griggs (Gary); two sons, David Dickerson (Jennifer) and Todd Dickerson (Amy); three grandchildren, Brent Dickerson (Sarah), Abbey Dickerson, and Cate Griggs; a great-grandchild, Vivian Rose Dickerson; sister, Linda Marie Dickerson; brother, Darrell Dickerson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Woodburn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to Foundation Christian Academy.
