Elizabeth Kinnaird Coombs, 97, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully around her family on June 3, 2026 at her residence. The Simpson Co.–Franklin, KY native was the daughter of the late Bertha Carter and Charlie Graves. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Coombs; a daughter, Peggie Jane Kinnaird Keen; and nine siblings, Charlie "Junior" Graves, Jr., Amy Ruth Morgan (George), Mary Biggs (Nolan), Martha Graves, Naomi Stradtner (Henry), Pauline Graves, Nadine Graves, Betty Cline (Pete), and Billy Graves.

Mrs. Coombs was the cornerstone of her household and a devoted family matriarch. She enjoyed spending time with her family and found great joy in gardening, sewing, and cooking.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicky L. Fuzzell (Jess L.) and Kathy Jill Kinnaird Johnson (Mark Meador); four grandchildren, Lori Bolleurs, Sonia Markham (John), Cindy Scott (Gene), and Melissa Morales (José); four step grandchildren, Tim Fuzzell, Jack Fuzzell, Kimberly Blackford, and Tammy Fuzzell; eleven great-grandchildren, many step great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
