Edwin Franklin Adams passed away on April 21, 2026 at The Medical Center. The Paducah, KY native was the son of the late Edwin Franklin Adams, Jr. and Mildred Jones Deland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Plewke Adams.

Mr. Adams was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He retired from the Warren County Health Department. Prior to his work with the Health Department, he worked as a claims adjustor for several insurance companies. Mr. Adams was a graduate of Murray State University and served honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Adams participated in the scouting program as a youth. He served as a scoutmaster and leader in many district and council programs, totaling nearly 50 years of scouting service.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, April 27 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 26 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. There will be additional visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, April 26 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Edwin is survived by a daughter, Lisa Adams; a son, Steve Adams; a sister, Suzanne Cummings (Bob); two granddaughters, Taylor Kennedy (Kevin) and Caitlin Ramsey (Michael); and four great-grandchildren, Miles Kennedy, Jude Kennedy, Theodore Ramsey and Elijah Ramsey.
