Doris "Betsy" M. Cummings, 79, of Smiths Grove, passed away peacefully with her family  with her. The Bowling Green native was a daughter of the late Burl Lee and Flora Elizabeth Brooks Alvey. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy Alvey, Darrell Alvey, Danny Alvey and Gary Alvey and her sister, Beverly Meredith.

Ms. Cummings was employed by Franklin Precision Industry. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her animals.

Survivors include her four daughters, Pam Haley, Beverly Drye-Broderick (Danny), Penny Drye and Letitia Drye-Stilwell (Chris); one son, James Cummings; one brother, Donald Ray Alvey (Cindy); nineteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 5:00 pm, Friday, February 6, 2026 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with public visitation from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm, Monday, February 9, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery. Contributions to the American Cancer Society may be made in memory of Ms. Cummings.
