Derotha J. Harrod, 84, of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Sterling and Winnie Jewell Graves Owens and is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Harrod.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, formerly Westside United Methodist Church and she loved and cared for many animals.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Harrod and several cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.

Expression of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky and the BG/WC Humane Society.
