Deena Gayle Holstrom, 70, of Bowling Green died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Hopkins Center. The Brooklyn, NY native was born on October 31, 1946 to the late George and Mary Laverne Maddox Holstrom.

She had been a licensed practical nurse, and later was a caregiver for Home Instead. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir for many years.

Ms. Holstrom is survived by a brother, Ricky Holstrom (Belvia); a sister, Signe Westmoreland (Dick); an aunt, Dorothy Allen; four nieces and nephews, Noelle White, Margie Willis, Derek Westmoreland, and Mick Holstrom; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10 AM at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 1 – 6 PM, also at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
