Obituary

Dr. David "Doc" Warren Livingston of Bowling Green died Saturday morning, February 18, 2017. He had battled Alzheimers for the past ten years. His wife of 65 years, Joyce, preceded him in death on July 3, 2016. His brother, Carl Blair Livingston also precedes him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Thurman (Mike); son, Tim (Susan); granddaughters, Hannah Vanderpool (Jonathan), Rachel Rigdon (Brendan), Miriam Bott (Nathan), and nine great grandchildren.

David Livingston was a career musician, with music degrees from WKU, UK, and Ohio State. He taught high school and college (WKU) and played professionally for over half of his long life. David served in the military, Army and Air Force, playing in their jazz bands. He was a member of the Sanctuary Choir at First Baptist Church. He will always be remembered for his great talent and sense of humor.

Funeral Services will be held at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the support of Orchestra Kentucky are preferred.
