Clarsie Ophelia Hewgley Decker, 92, of Bowling Green passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Colonial Center. The Giles County, TN native was born on August 29, 1925 to the late Myron Leo and Carrie Lou Phelps Hewgley. She was a retiree from Wal-Mart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Orville Decker; two sons, Maxie and Myron Decker; a daughter, Eva Marie Albaro; a grandson, William Joe Glenn; a granddaughter, Jayme Ann Albaro; three brothers, Leo, James, and Bill Hewgley; five sisters, Bea Lancaster, Lucille Douglas, Darsie Hewgley, Linda Marie Hewgley, Ruth Cole, and Barbara Jean Hewgley; and two step-sons, Robert Paul and William Estil Decker.
Mrs. Decker is survived by three sons, David Decker, Wendell Decker, and Robert Decker (Wanda); two daughters, Nina Thacker (Harvey) and Brenda Bell; a brother, Curtis Hewgley; nineteen grandchildren, Starr Decker, Casey Wade Decker, Ray Decker (Katie), Max Decker, Alex Decker, Tony Bell (Sonia), Lance Bell, Carrie Jones (Chris), Koti Bell, Chrissy Crowder (Tommy), Wayne Glenn (Holly), Sarah Johnson (Jeremiah), Silver V. Siah, Eva S. Siah, Jesus Hernandez, Enrica Albaro, Vega Albaro, Angel Albaro, and Tonya Bell; twenty two great-grandchildren, Dalton Jones, Mason Jones, Hunter Glenn, Jesse Estes, James Estes, Joseph Finn, Logan Bell, Ryan Bell, Aiden Birdwell, Parker Decker, Krista Blythe, Ava Blythe, Mackenzie Glenn, Alexis Olds, Alee Olds, Chelsie Connley, Megan Bell, Jamie Bell, Kinslee Decker, Ryleigh Decker, Tristen Crowder, and Faith Crowder; and a great-great grandson, Alexander Bell.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time, also at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
