Charles Elwood Branstetter passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Bowling Green. He was born on November 27, 1942 to Mary Willa Ward Branstetter and the late George Gatewood Branstetter.

He had been a truck driver for Sysco Foods, and a security guard for Borders. He was also very involved in Bowling Green's youth sports.

Mr. Branstetter is survived by his wife, Deborah Ellen Branstetter; daughter, Mary Lou Blair and husband Jerry; daughter, Laura Lee Yawn and husband Wesley and step-son, Matt Risk (Belinda); four grandchildren, Addison Blair, Gavin Yawn, Landon Yawn, and Carson Yawn; step-grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, and Chole; mother, Mary Willa Branstetter; brother, Harvey Branstetter and wife Lori and sons Lee Ward and Matt; and sister, Jerry Lawler and daughter Lee Ann.

The funeral service is scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow in Munfordville. Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM and again on Saturday from 11 AM until funeral time at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
