Carolyn Kay York Kinser, 76, of Brownsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17 at Magnolia Village surrounded by her family.

The Edmonson County native was born June 9, 1948, a daughter of the late Carl York and Ida Mae Basham York. In addition to her parents she was preceded in  death by her husband Theodore Kinser; two brothers, Bobby York and Gerald York.

Carolyn was a 1966 graduate of the Ahrens Trade High School where she studied Business Education. She worked at Seigal Roberts Automotive and was a member of Asphalt Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with  family, friends and traveling on all of their many adventures. Carolyns'  many laughs and smiles were contagious for all who knew her.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Gegenheimer; one son, Josh Kinser (Ashley); two grandchildren, Kali Gegenheimer (Adam Ramsey) and Leighton Kinser; two great grandchildren, Carson Ramsey and Lynlee Ramsey; four brothers, David York (Sherry), Dickie York (Jerry), Jimmy York (Anita) and Danny York and several nieces and nephews

A memorial service will be held at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, beginning at 4:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:30 a.m.
