Carlos Javier Casas Escobedo, of Rockfield, returned home to the Lord at the age of 65, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital. Carlos was a native of Sain Alto, Zacatecas, Mexico. He was the son of the late Rafaela Escobedo de Casas and Javier Casas.

Mr. Casas was a truck driver and a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Casas; two daughters, Christina Murphy (Darrin) and Veronica Casas; three sons, Carlos Casas, Jesus Casas, and Daniel Casas; three grandchildren, William "Noah" Casas, Jackson Murphy, and Amelia Murphy; six sisters, Evangelina Galindo, Gabriela Varela (Juan M.), Leonor Chavez (Christopher), Dolores Casas, Monica "Tere" Casas, and Ruth Assaad (Nidal); and one brother, Rafael Casas.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, March 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.
