Bonnie Jean Wilson, 89, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 4 ^th , at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Bonnie was born February 13, 1931, to Harry McAllister and Ruby Hurst McAllister in Van Buren, Kentucky.  She married Eugene Wilson March 3, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio—a loving union that lasted almost 61 years.

All of her life, Bonnie loved to sing!  When young and living at home, she would play the piano and sing along with her sisters.  As a young adult, she sang at many weddings. Bonnie had such a beautiful voice!

After several years in Dayton, she and Gene were transferred to Columbus, Indiana in 1962.  For forty years, they made Columbus their home.  In addition to raising her daughters and spoiling her granddaughters, Bonnie made many friends, as she was very active in her Church, Home Economics club and as a Mary Kay consultant.

Following Gene's retirement, they decided to move to Bowling Green to be near their daughter Diana.

Bonnie was a treasure. Giving, caring and full of compassion for life. She was a fantastic seamstress, hostess and cook.

She was a faithful member of West End Church of Christ in Bowling Green and was a proud Republican.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters Debbie Fowler and husband Bill of Frisco, Texas and Diana Smith and husband Steve of Fisherville, Kentucky; granddaughters Sarah Ellis and husband Jason of Waco, Texas and Stephanie Black and husband David of Versailles, Kentucky; great-grandchildren Kaeden Ellis, Korben Ellis, Amelia Black and Nora Black; sisters Charlotte Benson and brother-in-law George, Kathy Goodenow and brother-in-law Denny, and brother Steve McAllister and sister-in-law Theresa. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Joy Warner along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Betty Warner.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no funeral service at this time.  However, a memorial to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held when conditions allow.
