Bobby R. Turner, 79, of Bowling Green passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late Dottie Miller Turner and Lonnie B. Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Allen Turner and Darrel Turner.

Bobby was an enthusiast of vintage cars and a member of The Street Rod Club and The Corvette Club. He taught at the Bowling Green Vocational School, instructing students in the truck driver training program for several years. Bobby retired as a truck driver in 2013. He was a member of Crosspoint Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lena M. Turner; two daughters, Cathy Greer (Mike) and Michelle Love (Tim); two brothers, David Turner and Jimmy Turner; three grandchildren, Tyler Love (Katelyn), MiKayla Love, and Rachel Greer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society.
