Bobby (Bob) Grinstead passed away Saturday, September 7 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Warren County on September 1,1934. Retired from The Directors Chair (as a partner), he enjoyed working on his farm raising cattle.  He was happiest when surrounded by his wife of almost 70 years, Artie (Lowe) Grinstead and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Four children include:  Cathy (Joe) Kirchner of Oakland, KY, Jeff (Starr) Grinstead of Bowling Green, KY, Gary (Anita) Grinstead of Smiths Grove, KY and Robin (Andy) Lovell of Oakland, KY.

To his eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was lovingly called Poppy.  Grandchildren: Kyle (Danielle) Kirchner, Mt. Juliet, TN, Tyler (Ashley) Grinstead, Smiths Grove, KY, Erin (Justin) Jenson, Partlow, VA, Joe (Autumn) Grinstead, Bowling Green, KY, Ryan Kirchner (Nicole Marriner), Salt Lake City, UT, Emily (Clint) Bybee, Tompkinsville KY, Madeleine Lovell, Oakland, KY, and Will (Anna) Lovell, Danville KY.

Nine great-grandchildren include:  Haddie, Sawyer, Ellie Kate, Layton, Booker, Marleigh, Jack, Henry and Poppy Ann (his namesake).

A celebration of Bob's life is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, 901 Fairview Avenue, Bowling Green KY. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 10 and from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 11.
