Bob Kelly, 81, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at his residence. The Louisville, KY native was the son of the late Lucy Samuels Kelly and Robert Edwin Kelly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Robert Kelly, lll; daughter, Jane Walsh; granddaughter, Ashtyn Walsh; and a sister, Lucy LaFontaine.

Mr. Kelly loved to be outdoors, mowing his yard, and cherished his dogs Jonnie and Marlie. He owned a C.B. radio sales and repair store, known by his C.B. handle as "Coachman". He was a dedicated fan and loved his Kentucky Wildcats.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cassady Kelly; daughter, Christina Willis (Roy); Son, Tony Murphy; Sister, Mary Kelly Puckett; thirteen grandchildren, Sarah Kelly, Katie Ramos, Emily Smith, Libby Kelly, Jodi Kimbley, Carter Willis, Cassady Willis, Megan Murphy, Matt Murphy, Nathan Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Austin Walsh, and Josy Walsh.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will take place at Fairview Cemetery on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
