Billy E. Massey, 78, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14 surrounded by his family. The Bowling Green native was the son of the late Blaine Massey and Edye Jewell Wilson Massey.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Massey worked at Country Oven Bakery for over 20 years before retiring in 2011.

Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Stratton Massey; two daughters, Lisa Massey and Lori Massey Wallace (Vaughn); one sister, Margaret Wingfield (Gary).

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 16 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
