Obituary

Betty Jo Reynolds Holland, age 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

Betty Jo was the daughter of the late John Elmo and Oma (Robertson) Reynolds. Also preceding her in death was her two sisters, Patsy Lawrence and Nancy Ausbrooks; two nieces, Jessica Hehn and Stephanie Long. The fathers of her children, Cordell Perring and Tommy Ryan.

Betty Jo was a member of Beech Grove General Baptist Church in Scottsville.

Betty Jo retired after 40 years from Holley Carburetor. She was an avid bowler. She loved all her family. Betty Jo enjoyed cooking and baking cakes. She was always making cakes for family members. Her two most requested cakes were her carrot cakes and her famous prune cakes.

Betty Jo is survived by her husband of 16 years, Kenneth Holland; 2 sons, Ronnie Perring (Kay) and Keith Ryan (Lorie) all from Scottsville; daughter, Connie Jones (Danny) of Smiths Grove; brother, Freddie Reynolds (Pat) of Rockfield; 2 sisters, Mona Graves (Mark) and Beverly Feldman all of Bowling Green; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-children, Tonya Geis (Jason) of Ohio and Shawn Holland (Crystal) of Scottsville; 6 step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice House of Southern Kentucky staff and Chandler Memory Care staff for their loving care. Also, to friends for all the visits, calls and prayers.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home and again on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.  Funeral will be conducted on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at 11:00 AM from Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Beech Grove General Baptist Cemetery in Scottsville, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House of Southern Kentucky or a charity of your choice.
