Betty Jean Hazel Runnels, 84, of Bowling Green passed away August 14, 2018, at Signature Healthcare of Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green native was a homemaker, foster grandparent for twenty years, and a member of the Mount Zion Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Malery B. and Margie F. Glenn Hazel. Ms. Runnels was preceded in death by her son, Tramuel Runnels and her brother, Kenneth Hazel.

Survivors include one sister, Mary F. Turner of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, August 16. Additional visitation on Friday, August 17 from 10:00-11:00 am, with the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
