Barbara Martin Phelps, 85, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. She was born in Glasgow, KY to the late Bryant and Gertrude Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Goodwin; a brother, Hilbert Martin; a special nephew, Michael Goodwin; and her husband, William Phelps.

Leaving to cherish her memory are a nephew, Johnny Goodwin (Phyllis); nieces, Taylor Culver (Michael), Kinsley Halvorson; a brother-in-law, Frank Goodwin; and her furry companion, Tootsie.

She graduated from Glasgow High School and Bowling Green Business College. She was employed by Skaggs/Renner Express for many years and retired from the purchasing department at WKU. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church for over 50 years and taught Sunday School for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, October 7 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Monday, October 7 at the funeral home.
