Anzuruni Abwe, 56, of Bowling Green, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. The Congo native is the son of the late Zaina and Anzuruni Waamba.

He was the principle at the elementary, middle, and high Franch School of Nampula Mozambique. Anzuruni worked for the city of Bowling Green Transportation where he worked closely with the Association of Rescue and Intervention of Kentucky (ARIKY). He was also a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Anzuruni was survived by his wife, Alphonsine Baruani; twelve children, Omega Anzuruni, Mwanza Anzuruni, Dominique Anzuruni, Julienne Anzuruni, Georgeta Anzuruni, Kiza Anzuruni, Clementine Anzuruni, Clement Anzuruni, Zaina Anzuruni, Izabelle Anzuruni, Susan Mkanta Abwe, and David Anzuruni; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral servies will be held on September 4, 2021 at 9:00 am at Faith United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery. Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements.
