Annalea Thread Howard, 86, made her peaceful journey to Heaven at 11:35 pm on October 18, 2016. There, she joined many other loved ones, including her beloved Husband, William "Bill" Howard, her Mother, Coreda McKinney Thread, her Father, Leo J. Thread, two Sisters - Charlene Hills and Betty Anderson, and a Brother, Kenneth Thread.

Annalea was a devoted Wife, Daughter, Mother, Sister, "Meme," "Nawnaw," "Memaw," and Friend. She was born in Bone Gap, IL but lived her entire adult life in Bowling Green, KY. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. When she wasn't cheering on her boys in blue or watching her favorite tennis player, she was making someone laugh. Annalea was known for her humor and quick wit. In her younger days, she was an avid bowler and loved to bake and travel. To say that she lived for her family is an understatement.

Annalea will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind which include her three children: Bobby (Nancy) Douglas, Patricia Howard Williams, Deborah Howard Wright; ten grandchildren: Shelley Douglas (Dennis) Freeman, Georgeanna Douglas (Scott) Johnson), Annie Wright (Greg) West, Camille Douglas (Quin) McCarthy, Nick (Jess) Williams, Katie Williams (John) Fox, Johnathan Wright, Daniel (Laura) Williams, Hannah Williams and Felix Borden; fifteen great-grandchildren:Francie Johnson, Chelsea Beaudry; Emeline and Augusta Freeman; Ellie and Gracie Trosper; Baker, Sadie, and Hazel Fox; Bailey, Donovan, Campbell and Charlie Williams; Lennon Wright: and Riley Borden. She also leaves behind a special friend, Hazel Peterson.

Please join us for a graveside service at 11:00am at Fairview Cemetery on Saturday, October 22 arranged by Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Immediately following, please join us for her Celebration of Life at Broadway United Methodist Church's Youth House at 1333 Melrose Street. (the home where she lived for several years and watched her grandchildren grow up) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Broadway United Methodist Church and designate to "Broadway Abroad Missions" or "Youth House" (1323 Melrose Street, Bowling Green, KY 42104). Donations can also be dropped off at the Celebration of Life.

The family would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to Hopkins Nursing Home for caring for, loving and making the last three and a half years of our sweet angel's life some of her best.
