Ann Adams Bernot, 93, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was the daughter of the late John Motley Adams and Janice Ashley Adams, and the wife of the late Theodore Bernot. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Ashley Adams Fox and Barbara Adams.

The Bowling Green native was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and attended Bowling Green Business University. She was a secretary in the Office of Naval Attache, American Center, and served in WAVES, U.S. Naval Reserve, and World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Bernot Ryan and husband John M. Ryan, a son, Michael Jan Bernot and wife Claire Galloney Bernot of Dunwoody, GA. Two grandsons, Taylor Andrew Bernot and Hutchinson Reese Bernot, both of Dunwoody, GA, and two nieces and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery with visitation on Monday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the graveside service at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Altar Guild or Memorial Fund, Christ Episcopal Church.
