Louis Herrington, 77, of Bowling Green died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Simpson County native was born March 12, 1935, a son of the late Stanley Herrington and Louise Stinson Herrington. He was a retired farmer and worked with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. He was a graduate of Bristow High School, served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Riverside Christian Church. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Saturday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to The American Heart Association and the Riverside Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Herrington of Bowling Green; one daughter, Deborah Everley and her husband, Bill, of Chattanooga, TN; one son, Gil Brooks and his wife, Judy, of Oakland, KY; one sister, Nadine Moore and her husband, Bill, of Gallatin, TN; five grandchildren, Brooke Everley of Birmingham, AL, Kristen Hoy of Spartanburg, SC, Julie Towe and her husband, Brad, of Versailles, KY, Daniel Brooks of Bowling Green, KY, Andrew Brooks and his wife, Mary, of Nicholasville, KY; three great grandchildren; one nephew, Gordon Long and his wife, Grace of Plano, TX.
