Hazel Sensing

Hazel Irene Sensing, 92, of Bowling Green, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. The Whetstone, Kentucky native was born May 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Edgar and Celia Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andy Sensing and two sisters, Vica Mae Garner and Kemmel Work. Mrs. Sensing was a graduate of Burkesville High School and the Nashville School of Cosmetology. She was a homemaker and hairdresser and was a member of Lehman Avenue Church of Christ. Mrs. Sensing was a loving supporter and encourager of her family, especially the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday and again from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Wednesday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, Larry Sensing and his wife Sally of Bowling Green; one sister, Oleen Hill of Campbellsville, KY; one granddaughter, Sabrina Massey and her husband Shawn of Hendersonville, TN; three step grandchildren, Kim Williams and her husband, Luke, Rich Jones and Rob Jones and his wife Stephanie, all of Bowling Green. Nine Great Grandchildren, Sam Massey, Jax Massey, Taylor Williams, Zack Williams, Haley Jones, Sawyer Williams, Rece Jones, Eli Jones and Bella Jones; Several Nieces and Nephews; four sister-in-laws, Virginia Bates, Bertha Matlock, Dora Etta Garrett and Lovena Lowter.
