Ima B. Carr, 86, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Hospice in Bowling Green, Ky. The Bowling Green native was born November 26, 1926 the daughter of the late Fred Shields and Lorene Craft Shields. Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her husband James G. Carr, Sr. and a brother, Charles Shields.

She was a graduate of College High now known as WKU. She worked in the office at Holley Carburetor as a bookkeeper for 10 years. Mrs. Carr was a church pianist and a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. She loved God, kids, and music.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carr is survived by two sons; Phillip Carr and his wife Nancy, James Carr, Jr., three daughters; Ann Wright and her husband Tom, Mary Henson and her husband Danny, Cathy Jones, one stepson; Johnny Carr, six grandchildren; Angie Embry, Charlotte Morrow, Amy Lindsey, T.J. Wright, Zach Jones, Wesley Jones, seven great grandchildren; Tanner Embry, Solomon Wright, Samson Wright, Cassie Morrow, Erika Embry, Charlie Morrow, Katelyn Lindsey, and one brother, Larry Shields.
